Welcome back to another week of TV/Movie reviews! This time we are going back to the past with these all time favorites from a century ago! Enjoy

1.Pandora’s Box

This German silent tells a story about a young woman who is so beautiful and alluring that few can resist her siren charms. The men that are being drawn into her then inevitably come down to a tragedy and it all goes downwards and hunts them all forever. The critics of this movie say that this is an innovative, atmospheric and has a surprisingly modern storyline for it’s time.

2. Metropolis

This silent science-fiction film presents a highly stylized futuristic city where a beautiful and cultured utopia exists above a bleak underworld populated by mistreated workers. When the priviliged youth Freder discovers this, he becomes intent on helping the workers. This leads to greater conflicts in the movie. This visually impressive science – fiction classic is a must watch!

3.The Lost World

In London, a professor announces that prehistoric creatures exist and are flourishing in the amazon jungle, he declares his intentions to mount an expedition proving his point. The professor and others undertake the voyage and witness dinosaurs and humanoids battling in magnificent landscapes.

4.The Freshman

The freshamn Harold Lamb hopes to make some friends attending to a college in Tate University, the unfortunate events of the students noticing his eccentric personality, he becomes the joke of the school. His «friends» convince him that he is popular but laugh at him behind his back, telling him that he is a player of the football team when in reality he is the waterboy.

5. The Thief of Bagdad

When the Thief of Baghdad sneaks into a royal palace, he discoves and falls in love with a beautiful princess. Then the tief pretends to be a prince, and the princess becomes enamored with him.The thief overcomes many obstacles and revealing his real identity to a holy man who then sends him on a quest to find a magic chest as a penance.

6. The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari

This has to be arguably the first true horror film and sent a brilliantly high bar for the genre. This movie is about a carnival in Germany where Francis and his friend Alan encounter the crazed Dr.Caligari , the men see the Dr as a somnambulist where then a hypnotized man who the doctor claims can see into the future and shockingly Cesare predicts Alan’s death, and by morning this chilling prophecy becomes true. After that they are trying to investigate whether it is a prophecy or someone in there is guilty.
