It was Dr. Seuss the author we all needed!

Dr. Seuss was a children’s book author he was no lawyer, but he was so famous he got his own National day in the United States in March and not May.

On March 2nd I encourage you to grab some bacon and watch some of my favorite movies interpreted from his books, which are filled with cuties. All his books are filled with tri-syllables and rhymes so prepare for some good times.

1.- The Grinch (2000)

When it’s Christmas time you know the Grinch will commit a crime, this book and movie is about a guy who is green and has a heart the size of a bean. This 2000s movie is very groovy, it has music and drama and perfect to watch in your pajama.

Movie Review:

★★★★★

It is a film that did the book fairly and you’ll love to watch when feeling merry.

2.- The Lorax (2012)

This book was written in 1971, and the movie starts with a guy with a plan. The guy then makes a thneed and accidently ends with a specific trees breed, this makes people have a horrible living environment so everyone has to live in a new life with a mayor who is arrogant. This movie teaches us about taking care of our trees and appreciating a real breeze.

Movie review:

★★★☆☆

Though it may be a great message, it wasnt clear what the lesson was.

3.- Cat in the Hat (2003)

This movie is very cringey and crazy but perfect to watch when feeling lazy. The story about a crazy cat that wears a hat, who loves to wreck houses and eat mouses, will be perfect to watch on a Saturday when you’ve already watched all of Netflix.

Movie review:

★★☆☆☆

It might have been directed by the same guy that did «The Grinch», it sometimes makes you feel like your eyes are being pinched.

4.- Horton Hears A Who! (2008)

This movie about this amazing elephant running away from a pelican, well actually it’s a black eagle but we don’t like him he’s evil. Our brave Horton finds a spec with a «who» inside and now our «who» mayor is terrified. The mayor hides this fact and doesn’t know how to act.

Amazing and has great graphics for its time and based on a book filled with rhymes.

    1. I love Dr. Seuss. He’s been my inspiration throughout my teaching career. I love his books specially because almost all of them are written in rhyme. My favorite book is The Lorax. A great lesson to learn. I love your recommendations. Congrats!
